The stable version of One UI 7 was released at the same time as the new Samsung phones, the Galaxy S25 series.

These phones were unveiled on January 22, 2025, and come with One UI 7 pre-installed.

However, for those not upgrading to the S25, if you’re holding onto your Galaxy S24 or earlier models, the stable update is now in sight.

How to Install Samsung One UI 7 in your Device

The stable update for existing devices, including the S24 series, which has been in beta testing and has received multiple beta builds, is expected to start rolling out in late February 2025.

There’s also talk about the 4th beta build for the Galaxy S24 series before the stable rollout. However, we still do not have confirmation on when there will be a stable or beta rollout for the Galaxy S24 series or other older Galaxy devices.

Samsung One UI 7 New Features and HDR Controls

Enhanced Camera Continuity: Samsung’s new Camera Continuity feature enables seamless importing of photos and scanned documents from Galaxy phones to Samsung Notes on Galaxy Books or tablets, requiring devices to be on the same Wi-Fi network, connected via Bluetooth, and logged into the same Samsung account.

Cross-Device Integration: The One UI 7 update enhances ecosystem capabilities by introducing Camera Share, allowing Galaxy phones to be used as webcams for Galaxy Books and tablets, and expanding this feature beyond the Galaxy S24 series. It also includes a new Storage Share feature for wireless access to phone files from Galaxy laptops and tablets.

HDR Control Improvements: One UI 7 introduces a system-level Super HDR toggle in Settings, enabling users to disable HDR display system-wide to avoid brightness changes in applications. It supports Google’s Ultra HDR format for compatibility with third-party apps and other Android devices.
