How to Apply for Nigeria Student Loan 2024 on NELFUND Portal

The application portal, accessible at NELFUND student loan application portal, goes live on May 24th, 2024. To initiate your application, ensure you have the following details at hand:

  • JAMB registration number
  • National Identity Number (NIN)
  • Bank Verification Number (BVN)
  • Student matriculation or registration number

Step-by-Step Application Guide

Step 1: Register on the Student Loan Application Platform by clicking the “APPLY NOW” button.

Step 2: Navigate to the “Request for Student Loan” section, follow the prompts, and submit your application.

Step 3: Your application undergoes review. Upon successful verification, institutional charges are settled directly with your institution, while the upkeep loan is disbursed to the bank account specified in your profile.

Closing Date for NELFUND Student Loan

The portal went live on 24th May, 2024 and interested students are advised to apply immediately. Though the Nelfund student loan closing date has not been announced, hurry and apply, as the portal will be closing anytime.

  • Yes. Scanned admission letter for new students (compulsory), scanned Student Identification Card (optional)
  • A complaint can be raised from the portal, or you can send an email to the NELFUND
  • Deliberate default could result in penalties, legal action, and potential damage to your credit score.
