JAMB Form 2025 & Registration Update – 2025 UTME: JAMB Announces New Registration and Exam Dates, Approves More Test Centres The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the 2025 UTME dates, registration fees, and process.
According to JAMB, registration for the 2025 UTME will begin on January 31 and end on March 5. The main exam is scheduled to start on March 8, 2025, with a mock exam planned for February 23, 2025. Candidates interested in the mock exam can opt in during registration.
To register, candidates must meet specific requirements, including having a National Identification Number (NIN). Here’s how the process works:
JAMB has introduced a special trial mock exam for candidates under the age of 16. This allows younger students to practice with the Computer-Based Testing (CBT) format without taking the main UTME.

JAMB has selected The Lekki Headmaster by Kabir Alabi Garba as the approved reading text for the 2025 UTME Use of English. This announcement was made via JAMB’s official X (formerly Twitter) account earlier this month.
The novel will form a significant part of the Use of English examination, and candidates are encouraged to study it thoroughly. Questions will cover the themes, characters, and plot of the novel.
Reacting to the news, the author, Kabir Alabi Garba, expressed his gratitude, describing the endorsement as a milestone in his career. He acknowledged the efforts of his mentors and thanked JAMB for selecting his work to educate and inspire candidates.
Candidates can obtain The Lekki Headmaster at major bookstores nationwide or through verified online platforms. The novel is an essential component of preparation for the 2025 UTME, particularly for the Use of English paper.
