About International Organization for Migration (IOM)

In West and Central Africa, migration is too often characterized by misguided and narrative biases. Local, national and international media play an important role in the development and/or relay of these narratives, either through the use of inaccurate terms or through the production of superficial content. Launched in 2020, the Reporting Migration initiative encourages investigative journalism on migration in order to nuance negative discourses and narratives about the phenomenon in the region.
