Job Overview:
As a Procurement Officer II, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient procurement and supply of goods, works and consultancy services within the organization. This involves collecting and analyzing market data, assisting in policy monitoring, and maintaining accurate stock records. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collecting data and preparing market surveys
- Assisting in monitoring and evaluating policies relating to budget and procurement.
- Checking and reviewing stock positions in a store
- Rendering monthly returns on stores
- Handling routine correspondence.
Qualifications:
By direct appointment of a candidate possessing a degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Marketing or Statistics from a recognised institution.

Position 2: Procurement Officer I (Grade Level 09)
Job Overview:
As a Procurement Officer I, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving store policies, managing sub-units, and providing comprehensive support in procurement operations. This role involves strategic decision-making, ensuring compliance with procurement guidelines, and delivering detailed reports to relevant authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Auditing, monitoring and evaluating store policies.
- Assisting in the administration of a sub-unit
- Allocating stores to departments or store units
- Rendering reports to appropriate authorities in respect of sub-stores and store units
Qualification:
- By promotion of a confirmed and suitable procurement Officer II who has spent at least three years on the grade.
- By direct appointment of a candidate possessing a degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Marketing or Statistics from a recognised institution plus at least three years cognate experience.
- By direct appointment, Candidates must possess a minimum of first degree as 2.1 or Higher National Diploma plus Professional Diploma of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies
