Bayelsa State Post-Primary Schools Board Recruitment 2023 is ongoing – POST-PRIMARY SCHOOLS BOARD COMMENCES TEACHERS’ EMPLOYMENT AS PERMANENT SECRETARY ASSURES APPLICANTS OF FREE, FAIR TRANSPARENT PROCESS DEVOID OF UNDUE FAVOURITISM. Permanent Secretary of the Bayelsa State Post-Primary Schools Board, Chief Okene Simon-Peter has assured applicants of the ongoing teachers’ employment of a free and fair and transparent process that is devoid of any partisanship and undue favouritism.
Chief Simon-Peter gave this assurance to applicants at the Education House Annex, Ovom-Yenagoa, to commence the teachers’ employment process at the Board Headquarters on Monday Morning.
Mr Simon-Peter who udoubles as the Secretary of the teachers’ employment committee directed that applicants should have photocopies of their credentials as those without adequate documents especially education related degrees and local government identification letters are not eligible for the employment.
“A very credible and transparent process has been put in place as the committee shall vet the applications submitted to ensure that only credible and qualified applicants shall be contacted for the oral interview to ascertain their level of competence for the teaching job.”
Thousands of applicants were at the board headquarters at the Education House to submit their applications as they express gratitude to Governor Douye Diri for giving approval for the teachers employment at this time as they say this shall go a long way to give Bayelsa youths a source of livelihood to deviate them from social vices.
Members of the teachers’s employment committee were on ground sighting and documenting the credentials of applicants as they work frantically to ensure that the process was transparent, free and fair.
The teachers’ employment exercise continues through Friday this week and qualified Bayelsa applicants from Yenagoa and Kolokuma/Opokuma had their day On Monday 21st August while on Tuesday shall be for Ogbia and Sagbama Local Government Areas.
Wednesday shall be the turn of applicants for Ekeremor and Nembe while Thursday shall be for Brass and Southern Ijaw LGA. The last day for submission of applications shall be on Friday to carter for spill over cases of applicants unable to meet up their respective days.
